Worry allows people to talk themselves out of their potential. It’s a governor, limiter, and a throttle on living to our fullest and in God’s will. Worry is not from God. His command is direct, “Don’t worry!” There’s nothing left for interpretation. He desires to eliminate our fear and help us find His will.
Choose the alternatives. Instead of worrying, we must slow down, get calm, breathe, and pray through all circumstances. I use an acronym in performance coaching to remind me not to worry - “RESPA: Relax, Evaluate, Strategize, Pray, and Act.” Just saying the acronym in my mind engages the steps to evaporating worry.
